PHOTO ART FROM UGANDA: WHEN PHOTO “BLUNDERS” TURN INTO SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL – PART II

This is the second in a four-part series of photo art that I took while traveling around Uganda.

#1 Spectres in the Rain.

ScenethroughRainjpg
Spectres Through a Window.  If I could paint, I would have created this.  So imagine my delight when I captured this scene through a car window on a rainy in Kampala.  I manipulated it slightly—added a bit of saturation, and a soft emulsion filter.  Wall-worthy IMO.

#2 Rad in Entebbe

MotorcyclevogueJPG
Street shot in Entebbe, Uganda. I was trying to capture just this woman by herself … standing there looking all Vogue-ishly fabulous in her turban and colorful stripes when this guy on a motorcycle pulled up and blocked the shot. I thought it was ruined. Until I saw it on my roll and said to myself … dang, this is good!

Girlcarryingplatejpg
Girl Carrying Plate.  Another car window shot taken while my driver was speeding down a dirt road.  Sometimes, grainy looks good.
